I will always be an immigrant to America's Sacred Ground.

I will always be an immigrant to America's Sacred Ground. I will always be an immigrant to America's Sacred Ground. I will always be an immigrant to America's Sacred Ground.

My first painting/an evening course:

My Inspiration:

Stacked  timber products in a pallet shop for 1 1/2 years after dropping out of Engineering at MSU

The School was refuge for surviving.

A few years later and scars still fresh when this picture was taken.

Aware by now that the fellow who knocked on my bunk room at the Red Rose Motel in Maybelle, CO and walked in saying, "Look Son! That was a heck of a thing you went thru today"

My Inspiration:

When I discovered I could draw at 19, I saw a very beautiful, somewhat animated style of line in my work. I love it: Yet know not where it came from.

 At Montana State University,

the  Art Department taught Modern Expressionist Art.

A lot of theory.

Not one instructor gave me 1- 1 instruction in painting. Not on how to mix. How to apply. How to blend. The importance of edges.

My Road

My Inspiration:

My Road

Above a new wine bar being built below. This ceiling I was painting. The ceiling my canvas.  A sky & clouds. On a homemade ladder. Surrounded by Taiwanese craftsmen.

The Lady I was painting for a grad of St. Andrews in Scotland. Her fathers' Lions Club International  plaque visible in the home's lobby. Right after signing my sky/mural I left. Boarding a train south from Chungwa.
